The venue does not have a piano. Are you still able to perform at our wedding?

Absolutely! I can provide a digital piano which looks like a keyboard but sounds exactly like a grand piano. I am happy to use a piano if the venue has one available but I am equally happy to provide my own digital piano as well as all pa equipment, lighting and a microphone for speeches if the venue cannot provide one.

Can guests make requests on the night?

Yes of course! Requests are always very welcome. In the event that I don't know a requested song and I have a recorded copy of it with me I will put it on during a break or when I am DJing. Apart from my musical skills you are also paying for my expereience and discretition. For instance I wouldn't play a request for 'Play That Funky Music' during dinner but I would happily play that song later in the evening when upbeat dance music is more appropriate.

Do you play any Michael Buble?

Yes! I play many hits from Michael Buble including Sway, Home, Everything, Moondance, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Can't Buy Me Love, Under My Skin etc. and swing hits from Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick Jr, Tony Bennett and many more. In fact I even performed at the Michael Buble hows at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in 2014. I can perform an entire evening of jazz and swing or none at all - the choice is yours!

How long is a set?

Live performance sets are approx 45 mins in length with 15-20 min in breaks (which I will supply music for). Although running to a timetable many events (particularly where speeches are involved) will run overtime. For this reason I am always flexible with the timing of sets. For instance instead of playing 2 x 45 mins sets I may play a 1 hour set and a 1/2 hour set if that works better with the flow of the evening.

Do I have to pay anything upfront to secure a booking?

Yes. In order to lock in a performance date you will be required to pay a non-refundable booking fee of $200 (incl gst). The balance of the fee is to be payed two weeks prior to the performance.

Can you reccommend other suppliers?

Yes I can. I have performed at literally hundereds of functions throughout Southeast Queensland and I am more than happy to assist you in way that I can. I may even be able to offer you discounts with particular providers (eg. photographers) so please ask. You can find a list of recommended suppliers on the LINKS PAGE.

Would you like us to pick the songs you play?

If you can let me know the songs you really like and if there are any in my playlist that you don't want played, then that gives me a great platform for the evening. I love getting your input! The more I know about the music you love, the more I can make your night the special one you deserve. An important part of my job is to be able to read a crowd and know what music is appropriate for different stages of the evening. Song choices that are most important for you to chose for the wedding reception would be the Bridal Waltz, music for the Cutting Of The Cake, an Entrance Song etc. If you would like some assistance in choosing these songs just let me know - I am more than happy to help you in any way I can.

Do we really need to do a Bridal Waltz at our weddding?

If you would like have dancing at your wedding than the short answer is YES. If not, then it is completely up to you. The bridal waltz is the perfect way to get everyone on the dancefloor so if that is a priority for you then you should DEFINITELY do a bridal waltz. The first dance for the bride and groom may be called a bridal 'waltz' but mostly these days it's just a slow dance so if you're worried that you don't know how to waltz - you have nothing to worry about. If the idea of the entire room watching your dance moves seems a bit scary then I can invite the rest of the bridal party and then the remainder of your guests onto the dancefloor to join you after the first chorus of your bridal waltz. In most cases the upbeat dance music will begin immediately following the bridal waltz while everybody is on the dance floor. If you would like to do the bridal waltz entirely on you own than usually I will play another slow dance song following so that your guests can join you on the dancefloor before jumping into the upbeat dance music.

I have a relative/friend who can sing. Can they perform with you on the night?

Sometimes. In most cases this is possible if arranged prior to the event as often I will have to supply additional equipment or backing tracks may be required. I will always make every effort to ensure your day is as special and memorable as possible; IN A GOOD WAY. If I am asked on the night without any prior knowledge the answer will nearly always be no. After a few drinks one of guests may think they are the greatest singer in the world but experience has taught me that in the vast majority of cases it is an embarassing disaster - that's what your bucks and hens night is for!
